Queensland Strategy for Disaster Resilience released

19 Jul 2017

The Queensland Government has released its blueprint aimed at making Queensland the most disaster-resilient state in Australia.

The Queensland Strategy for Disaster Resilience 2017 provides a cohesive approach to building disaster resilience throughout the state.

The Queensland Reconstruction Authority is commencing a phase of broad consultation on the Implementation Plan for the Strategy, which will help ensure community-focused disaster resilience initiatives are identified and actioned.

The Queensland Reconstruction Authority has updated the original Queensland Strategy for Disaster Resilience, developed in 2014, to incorporate climate change risk and deliver a comprehensive, all-hazards approach to building disaster resilience throughout Queensland.
